Personal Projects
Here's some fun stuff I do when I'm not doing the big stuff.
The characters are exaggerated, expressive, and usually based on someone real. Bold shapes, a loose style, and just enough edge to make you laugh and then feel a little called out.
Guacatío Joe is my creative outlet. I turn the friends, family, and pets in my life into characters who react to everyday situations the way I sometimes wish I could: the long days, the small wins, and everything absurd in between. It gives me room to play with character, expression, and storytelling outside of my day-to-day design work, and it keeps things light. Any resemblance to real people is entirely intentional.

Zephyrus Noir is a luxury fashion house that doesn't technically exist, which has never stopped it from having impeccable taste. I imagined a fragrance and fashion label in the vein of Tom Ford, drawing on classical forms and the visual language of modern couture: refined geometry, a restrained palette, and a mark that feels both structured and fluid.
The name has humble beginnings. Zephyrus was the street I lived on when I first moved out on my own, and it stuck because of the myth behind it: Zephyrus, the Greek god of the gentle west wind and the messenger of spring. Every luxury brand needs a good origin story.
Noir made it dark and a little mysterious, and a 1920s typeface carried it into art deco, jazz-age glamour. The mockups show the identity at work on leather goods, accessories, and a clutch that always arrives fashionably late.
The Emergency Services Solutions logo honors the fire-service career of its founder, a former fire chief with the Manchaca Fire Department in Austin.
Every element has a rank
At the center, five traditional fire-service bugles represent the rank and leadership of a fire chief. The surrounding Maltese cross stands for protection, courage, sacrifice, and service. Together they connect the firm's heritage to its mission: strengthening emergency service organizations, guiding their leaders, and helping them prepare for what's next.
An outdoor outfitter built around resilience and survival. The identity draws on the Roman Colosseum and the grit of gladiatorial combat, where endurance, strength, and discipline decided who made it out. Bold forms, a restrained palette, and a mark that evokes both protection and confrontation.
